About the Clinic

StarPro Physical Therapy in New Rochelle has been treating patients since 2017 and opened this clinic in 2023, the second in the area. We offer many different types of rehabilitation services to relieve pain. No stairs at the front entrance for easy wheelchair accessibility.

Parking and Directions

StarPro Physical Therapy in New Rochelle is located in the shopping center between Dunkin Donuts and the UPS Store, at the corner of North Avenue and Quaker Ridge Road.

Plenty of parking is available at the clinic. There is parking in the front with no stairs and parking in the back with stairs to the back entrance of the facility.

The 0045 bus is in close proximity to the clinic at North Avenue @ Lovell Road.

Whether it’s a high-level athlete rehabbing an injury or an older individual hoping to increase their mobility, Melanie excels in providing personalized care to help her patients meet their goals. Growing up as a dancer, Melanie was always interested in how the body worked and moved. It was after a ballet Injury sent her to PT that she found her true passion. She was so moved by the rehab experience and the ability of her therapist to get her back dancing that she went to Ithaca College and pursued physical therapy. Melanie didn’t totally forget about her roots in ballet as she also became a certified barre instructor. Melanie has been practicing PT in Westchester since 2014 and has a passion for working with local student athletes as the physical therapist for Iona University. It is this connection to the community that has led her to partner with StarPro PT to open a second office in New Rochelle, on North Avenue. She looks forward to continuing to help patients of all ages get back to their best. She also has a newfound interest in working with pregnant and Postpartum individuals after recently becoming a mom.

Steven is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who earned his DPT from New York Medical College. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with a strong passion for all aspects of fitness, particularly weightlifting and running.

Steven brings extensive experience promoting health and wellness across diverse populations, combining evidence-based practice with a personalized, patient-centered approach. His professional background also includes coaching CrossFit, where he has helped individuals build strength, resilience, and confidence in their physical abilities.

A passionate advocate for fitness for all, Steven’s perspective is deeply shaped by his personal journey of overcoming obesity as a teenager and recovering from debilitating injuries. This experience fuels his commitment to helping others achieve sustainable, long-term health.

Bio

CJ Guiang is a board-certified Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapist whose focus centers on integrating exercise, manual therapy, and data-informed rehabilitation to optimize movement and facilitate a return to activity or sport.

CJ is a career-changer who started in music and entertainment and pursued physical therapy after watching physical therapists on television guide an injured football player through rehabilitation. He later followed his passion for sports and rehabilitation working for the Westchester Knicks of the NBA G-League and the New York Liberty of the WNBA while attending the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Dominican University of New York.

Aiming to elevate his practice, CJ then completed the Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency Program at Temple University in Philadelphia and graduated from the Fellowship in Sports and Orthopaedic Manual Therapy with the Institute for Athlete Regeneration. CJ continues to pursue his interests in orthopaedics and sports today. He recently served as Team Physical Therapist with Unrivaled Basketball and Rutgers University Rowing and treated youth athletes at the Hospital for Special Surgery Young Athlete Center. CJ currently works at StarPro Physical Therapy in New Rochelle, New York treating patients at the North Avenue clinic and athletes at Iona University.
