Star Pro is an excellent facility. Several members of my family have used this rehab center for different injuries. The therapists are knowledgeable, attentive, and compassionate. Each member of my family returned to normal activity after being treated by the therapists at this center.

I highly recommend StarPro! They exhibited exceptional professionalism from the start—punctual, well-prepared, and welcoming. Each session was structured yet adaptable to my progress. What sets Elena and the staff apart is their extensive knowledge. They thoroughly assessed my needs, explained every step, and created an effective, educational treatment plan that helped me understand my recovery.

I had an excellent experience working with Elena, my physical therapist. She took the time to listen and carefully evaluated my shoulder injury and created a personalized plan. Elena was extremely knowledgeable and watched carefully to ensure that I was doing the exercises correctly. She always asked how I was doing and made adjustments to my treatment plan accordingly. After working with her, I felt my range of motion, strength, and discomfort were greatly improved. She was encouraging, motivating and was kind and personable as well. The entire staff was friendly and helpful and it was apparent that they work well together. The facility itself was always clean, spacious and had ample parking. I would definitely recommend Starpro and especially Elena.

Bio

Dr. Serena Chryssikos attended Binghamton University in New York for her undergraduate degree, and then continued on to Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Prior to and while attending physical therapy school, she worked as a trainer and also taught group exercise classes. There were multiple ground-breaking moments in Dr. Chryssikos’s life that inspired her to pursue a career in physical therapy. Most notably, when her younger sister underwent a highly invasive scoliosis surgery, and witnessing her go from barely able to walk to becoming a full-fledged varsity athlete, all thanks to her amazing physical therapist. Several years later, on a more personal level, she found herself totally defeated and facing surgery in a physical therapy office after sustaining a debilitating knee injury -- the result of a 17-year soccer career. Thanks to the amazing PTs and PTAs she worked with, she found herself not only back on the soccer field, but participating in Olympic lifting, competing in physique events and completing Spartan races. She was told that surgery was the only option, managed to avoid surgery; it was the physical therapists who helped her return to her prior level of function and advance even further. Physical therapy taught her that there is life after injury. These events all contributed to her decision to pursue her doctorate in physical therapy. Dr. Chryssikos incorporates her interest in sports, her experience with strength and conditioning training and her love of Pilates in sessions with patients. “At the end of the day, there is nothing more gratifying than hearing from my patients that I have helped them in some way. I enjoy being relatable, and I love it when my patients can find some commonality while working with me. My young adult athletes especially motivate me, because they remind me of myself when I sat in that physical therapy office more than 15 years ago, and this in and of itself inspires me to keep doing what I do.” Dr. Chryssikos is a self-proclaimed foodie. When she isn’t treating patients or working out, she enjoys following New York sports teams, star-gazing, relaxing on the beach and traveling all over the globe with her husband.

Bio

Graduated Cum Laude from Moravian University in 2023 with my BS in Health Sciences on Pre-PT track. I then went on to earn my DPT from New York Medical College in 2026. Being a two sport athlete my whole life I've had my fair share of orthopedic injuries that led me to physical therapy. I first got introduced to the profession after going through 2 ACL reconstruction surgeries in high school . During that time, I thoroughly enjoyed showing up to my PT sessions and was able to see how much of an impact it had on me physically and mentally. Without the help of my PT, I would have never been able to walk up the stairs or return to the lacrosse field. When I got to college, I realized I wanted to help people the same way I was helped in high school. Physical therapy allows me to blend my two passions of exercise and helping people into one.
