Anil and Gus are my guys. They are amazing. In fact, everyone at this location is professional, caring, compassionate, and attentive. Clean and orderly and set up so clients can cheer each other on or do their own thing.

I recently underwent a right hip replacement in October 2025 after experiencing significant pain, a decision I never expected to face but needed to make. The surgery was a success, and I am deeply grateful to Dr. Douglas B. Unis, Orthopedic surgeon, and the exceptional staff at Mount Sinai for their outstanding care. This review, however, is specifically for Starpro Physical Therapy at 132 West 96th Street. During the most difficult early weeks of recovery, the staff provided consistent, knowledgeable, and compassionate support. Their guidance through stretching exercises and rehabilitation made a meaningful difference in my recovery process.Whether it was the athlete recovering from a painful injury, or a gentleman in a wheelchair catching a ball, a lady working with weights, or a shy young person recovering from a painful injury, treatment was special for each one with patience and compassion. There’s a wonderful quote that says: “A healthy person has a thousand wishes, but a sick person has only one.”Recovery can be both physically and emotionally demanding, but the calm and supportive environment at Starpro helped make that journey far more manageable. I am sincerely appreciative of the care and professionalism shown throughout my treatment.Maria M.

Everyone in the facility is among the best of the best. Working with James Cascio and John Mclean, especially, they truly work with you one-on-one and care not only about your injury but also about who you are outside of that injury. Extremely detailed and caring people who explain each exercise and rehabilitation plan with ease. Would highly recommend them for any rehabilitation.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Nicole, my physical therapist! After my rotator cuff repair surgery, I was nervous about the long road to recovery, but Nicole made the entire process so much easier. Her expertise, patience, and encouragement helped me regain strength and mobility faster than I ever imagined. She took the time to explain every exercise, made sure I was comfortable, and truly cared about my progress every step of the way.A special thank-you also goes to Michelle, the amazing receptionist, who was always so friendly, organized, and accommodating with my scheduling. Her warm welcome at every visit set such a positive tone. This outpatient rehabilitation center is an absolute gem — professional, compassionate, and genuinely dedicated to their patients’ well-being. I’m so grateful to Nicole and Michelle for helping me on my journey to feeling like myself again! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!I Highly recommend StarPro!

Had a wonderful assuring visit at StarPro, 96 st, NYC. Anil M. was just great, expertly checking my joints in the lower limbs, explaining me the biomechanics of my ankle bones, tendons, ligaments, recommending exercises and other remedial measures, and above all, patiently listening to my medical probs. Feeling relieved, and assured, i exited the clinic.Good luck.

My instructors Mr. James Cascio, DPT; and Mr. John McLean, PTA were excellent. They both provided all the best & required workout routines that relieved my pain & gave me extra strength. These men are kind, thorough & worked with me to bring out my 💯 recovery. In the words of Benjamin Franklin & Jane Fonda..."No Pain No gain," but its all worth it. I also want to thank staff assistant Ms. Gretchen who always helping out when needed. Very Satisfied. Tiffany 9/16/2025.

Bio

I am a licensed Physical Therapist with over 15 years of clinical experience, practicing since 2011. My professional journey began in India, where I practiced for 6 years, followed by 9 years of experience in the United States.

I earned my Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Apollo Hospitals Institute, followed by a Master of Science from California Baptist University in California and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Touro University.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in hospital, home health, and outpatient settings, treating patients with a wide range of orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, postoperative, and sports-related conditions. I especially enjoy building a close relationship with my patients and working collaboratively with them to achieve meaningful improvements in their function, mobility, and quality of life.

My clinical interests and specialties include vestibular rehabilitation, manual therapy, Mobilization With Movement (MWM), postoperative rehabilitation, geriatric rehabilitation, and sports injury rehabilitation. Since 2023, I have developed a particular focus on vestibular rehabilitation, helping patients manage balance and dizziness-related conditions and regain confidence in their daily activities.

I believe that effective physical therapy goes beyond exercises—it involves understanding each patient’s individual goals, listening to their concerns, and developing a treatment approach that is both personalized and functional.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, taking long drives, and traveling. I value the opportunity to explore new places and create memorable experiences with my family.
